This Bar Saves Lives

By following Conscious Magazine on Twitter, I found the organization This Bar Saves Lives. Think of it as the Warby Parker of snacks.

For every granola bar that you buy, they donate the following to either Edesia or Save the Children for distribution:

Plumpy’Nut (reversal): This is intended to treat malnutrition amongst children. It’s a paste made from peanuts, milk powder, sugar, vegetable oils, and a mixture of essential minerals and vitamins.

Nutributter (prevention): This is intended to prevent malnutrition. It’s intended to be for undernourished children below the age of two and works to prevent stunting (caused by malnutrition).
